Chance me, why don't you!

I’m making this thread on a dare, so please don’t judge me. ?

About me: White, Jewish, nerd. Household income below 120k.

GPA:
W: 3.89
UW: 3.6
Scores:
SAT I: 770/750
SAT II:
Math II: 740 Chem: 680 (I took an L on these hehe)
AP Scores: 4/4/4/4/5 for AP Physics C, APELC, APUSH, AP Calc BC, and the AB Subscore respectively.

At my high school I’m taking AP lit, AP bio, AP micro, AP gov, journalism, honors psych, and creative writing. ?

Extra info: I’ve taken a total crapton of math classes dual enrollment through the honors program at a nearby state flagship. So far I’ve taken multi, linear algebra, and modern algebra. I just signed up for modal logic in the Spring.

ECs: I’ve done competitive show choir for three years. I like to sing and suck at the dancing, but it’s kind of fun to move my body. We’re a pretty good division II group, and we get a smattering of first and second places at state invitationals every year.

I joined a club rowing team this year, partly to get in shape and partly as a way to get on the water regularly. It’s been a lot of fun and a great experience, although I don’t think I’ll get recruited anytime soon.

I’m also participating in the directed reading program in math at my state uni. It’s a selective program where students work with a graduate student to read an advanced text, then present on it to their peers. Really cool opportunity, and I’m really appreciating the brush with higher maths. My project is on representation theory, and we’re working out of Fulton & Harris and this book by Etingof et al.

Main schools:
Indiana University, Bloomington
Rice University
UChicago
UWaterloo
Williams
Harvey Mudd
MIT (maybe)
Pomona (maybe)
Other LACs (maybe)

Note: I know my list seems very lopsided. I’m completely prepared to just go to Indiana. I love that school. ?

What major? You seem really into the humanities.

I actually love the humanities! I don’t want to give them up in college, which is part of why UChicago and Harvey Mudd are appealing to me.
If I end up at IU, I’ll try to do a double major of math and creative writing.
