CHANCE ME!! WILL CHANCE BACK

I’m a junior, 3.2 cumulative gpa (so far, will boost up by the time I graduate), URM, good EC’s, and I want to apply ED to NYU LSP because I feel I have good chances of getting into this program, and it’s my favorite college.

Colleges:
NYU (ED)
Boston U
U Texas (in state)
USC
UMich
Emory
Baylor (in state)

ACT: 33

Course-load this year taking
ap calc ab
ap us history
ap comp sci
ap physics 1
English
art
span II
Buisness

Senior year course load:
-ap calc bc
-ap English lit
-ap physics C
-ap European history
-ap human geography (I have to take this, I moved and have to fulfill a requirement)
-ap gov/ ap macro
-span III
-Free period

I’d say that you have a great chance at Texas and Baylor, decent chance at Michigan, Boston, and Emory, and a low chance at USC and NYU. Although your ACT is above average for all of the schools listed, your GPA is very low. If you can raise it to a 3.6 or higher you will greatly increase your chances of getting into these schools. The good news is NYU tends to accept students with lower GPAs and higher test scores, so you probably have a pretty good chance there. To receive the most accurate feedback, I recommend that you list your extracurriculars because those are a huge part in admissions too. Good luck!

I like to keep on the safe side. I would maybe add in a few more safety schools just in case.

Overall, you have a solid chance at all your schools. It would have been better if you had a higher GPA, but your standardized testing score is pretty high. So, it kind of makes up for it. Also, be careful with your course load this year, it seems pretty rigorous. You can’t let your gpa drop further than a 3.2.
