<p>Hey, I just signed up and was hoping to be chanced for UT Austin.
I put my first choice major as Communications- RTF, and my second choice as COLA- Philosophy</p>

<p>My stats:
SAT- 2070 (710 Verbal, 680 Math, & 680 Writing)
Rank- 30/308 (But it currently says 30/289 on my app status, so I’m hoping to change that)
GPA- 3.3
AP classes- 2 soph, 3 junior, 7 senior
Essays- strong to very strong (I think)
Race- White & Native American</p>

<p>ECs:

  1. Crew- 4 years Vars Crew/Rowing, Nationals 2009 for the ltw 8+ (ranked top 20 in nation), Nationals 2010 for the ltw 4+ and open 2- (again ranked top 20 in nation), Martial Arts (Black Belt)
  2. Martial Arts- Black belt
  3. Music video production- worked on the set of 2 music videos doing set production, audio playback, and camera operating
  4. Film production- 60+ hours on the set of a short film as 2nd ass. director and PA
  5. International Club president
  6. NHS
  7. Worked as a farmhand for 4 years</p>

<p>From Texas or another state? If you are from Texas, you should be fine. If you are out of state, might be close. Are you planning to row?</p>

<p>Thanks for chancing me! I’m in state, and I’m not sure about rowing yet. I’ve talked with the coaches about it, and it all depends on whether or not I am able to afford it next year.</p>

<p>Yeah I have a few, UT is one of my top two schools, but I’m applying to about five or so other schools as well.</p>

<p>Any other opinions? I also acted in one of the music videos I assisted on.</p>
