Chance Me?

NYU has been a dream school for me for a while. It would be nice to get the opinions of others. I am a senior in high school.

NOTE: I have been to three different high schools. Therefore, it has been hard to maintain exceptionally high grades.

If it matters, I am also Black (Caribbean descent) and gay, which was the basis of my essays.

Anyone?

-bump-

Anyone? Please?

I would say that you have a pretty good chance, your scores are within range (except maybe some of the lower SAT II’s, though you don’t have to submit those if you’re choosing to send in ACT with writing) You have a good course load this year, plenty of AP’s. Also, the fact that you’ve been to 3 different high schools speaks to the point that you haven’t been able to be in an EC club from 9 - 12 ( you should highlight this in your app - as to not seem like it’s inconsistent). Overall, I think your shots look good, if you have great essays, recs, etc - i don’t see why you wouldn’t get in.

Are you applying RD?

Yes I am. I sent out my application today.
Thank you so much! I’m SO paranoid about not getting in.

Don’t worry, just take a deep breath and it’ll all work out for the best. Good luck
