Sorry, but according to Princeton’s website they have never accepted a student who has been a server at The International House of Pancakes. It goes back to the long court case of Princeton University vs. IHOP, in which Princeton sought to take back the anagram-name “IHOP” from the popular pancake chain and restore it to the original name of “The Independent House of Princetonians”, an selective eating club made up of only Princeton’s very best. Everyone knows the story of former President of the University William G. Bowen’s son, who was rejected based on his affiliation and attendance of the International Housing Operation of Peru in which students build houses for Peru Natives. The University confused this IHOP with The International House of Pancakes, rejecting the former President’s son. I would take it off of your application or you have no chance.

^I can confirm what the above poster is saying. All legit.

Your scores look good, class president is good, GPA I assume is good. Do you have a ranking that might give us chancers some better context?

Based on what we have, we can say you are competitive. The rest of the application that we cannot see will be what really determines your decision.

Yah I confirm as well what dfitz has said. Princeton HATES IHOP because of that previous incident. please don’t even mention you worked at IHOP.

I assume “lawncare business” means you made sixty dollars one summer mowing your neighbor’s lawn because your parents made you? If I were an adcom, I’d have a good chuckle.

Competitive, but definitely a dice roll. If you were a legacy, you’d have a decent shot. I’d give you a 15% shot?
