Chance me?

UC GPA: (Not sure how to calculate)
GPA: 3.9, if an A is a 90%+ and a 4.0 (Not sure, from Vancouver Canada)

Out of Country Applicant (Canada)

SAT Reasoning: 2240

SAT II
TBD (Taking in Oct) <– Heard that you don’t need this for berkeley anymore. Is that true?

College
Business (Haas) <– Can anyone tell me how this works?

ECs
Substantial volunteering
Debate
Model UN
Business Club
Student Activities Council
Biology

Awards
A few national & a lot of provincial debating awards
Many national model un speaking awards
Many national math awards
Way too many provincial science awards
^ Not even going into science, are these applicable?

Your SAT I score looks fine. Though SAT II (subjects) are not required for the 2011-12 admission, Berkeley still recommend it if you’re going to pursue certain majors (check on the UC website).

Your EC looks ok as well. If you have been in them for quite awhile & hold some leadership roles, they will be a big plus for your application.

Awards look fantastic, showing your interest in multiple fields.

GPA wise, it looks pretty strong if it’s underweight/calculated correctly. Does your school offer AP classes?

Regarding Haas, you will be applying as an Undeclared/Pre-Business. Once at Berkeley you’ll be taking classes that will fulfill the Haas prerequisites. You will then apply for that major during your Sophomore year (during the fall). Admission to Haas is quite competitive though!

Good luck!

most schools do a 93%+ is an A and a 4.0

UC GPA Calculator:[GPA Calculator](http://academicservices.berkeley.edu/advising/gpa/)

You sound like a very strong Applicant.GOOD LUCK!

Yeah I figured something like that, so my GPA would be 3.8 …
In British Columbia, they consider 80%+ an A for some reason
