Chance me.

Hello,

I am from Hyderabad(India),completed my class 12th and my IIT dream was ruined due to some technical problems during the test.

I came to know about the US universities in a FIITJEE(a well known Indian high school) brochure, thought of applying for these universities, never knowing the toughness in the selection processes.I asked my mother about the idea of applying for those universities. She agreed. But the fees for SATs are a higher reach for my family. My father had a mid brain hammerage, which grew our life more penurious. My family income is Rs.9,000($183 a month) out of which about $100 are spent on my fathers medication(checkup, medicines and all).Despite of all these conditions my mom agreed to pay fees for my SATs.I don’t know whether I am doing a right thing or a wrong thing in applying to these universities.

I scored all 4’s in AP exams(Calculus BC,Physics C mech,E&M).(I taught myself,the APs)

I am taking SATs,this November.

I am working hard on those examinations.Upon repeated online testing my expected average scores are:
SAT subject scores-Math level II-800
Physics-800
Chemistry-around 750s
SAT general tests -around 2100

A bit about my ECs(even though they are feeble):
I play badminton, swimming(community level) in YMCA (Young Men Christian Association),I have volunteered many camps(related to church).Participated and won many Inter Sunday school competitions.I’ve done ‘christian life and witness courses’,‘Teens courses’,etc…

Please tell me whether I have any chances to get any kind of scholarships or so…in Stanford.I don’t know much about these universities.

…?

Be patient. People don’t always reply in 11 minutes.

I’m not too sure about international applicants, but there is a fee waiver thingy…(again, not too sure if there is an international fee waiver).

Let’s see what you actually get on the tests, but according to your averages, you have a nice chance. EC wise, nothing really stands out to me…
