<p>Stats:
Location: Southern California, VERY competitive high school
Ethnicity: Asian :frowning:
GPA: 4.0 (UW) 4.6 (W)
SAT: CR: 740 M: 800 W: 760 E: 9
PSAT: 231 (Nat’l Merit Semifinalist hoping for Finalist)
SAT Chem: 780; SAT M2: 780; SAT Bio: taking in November
APs: Calc BC, Chem, Spanish Lang, English Lang, Human Geog - all 5’s (AP Scholar w/Dist)
Intended Major: Neuroscience, Biological Sciences (Pre med emphasis)</p>

<p>Awards: International Space Settlement Design Competition 1st Place 2010, finalist 2011</p>

<p>School Activities:
President Spaceset (competes in contest above^), President NHS, Class Inner Council (webstorian), CSF, Spanish Nat’l Honors Society, Bball (9th-10th)</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Intern at Neurology Lab (11th-12th)
Research Assistant at Gastrointestinal lab 12th (work 1 on 1 with doctor)
Senior Center Volunteer (~50hrs)
Hospital Volunteer (~200hrs) in ICU and Pulmonary Suite
Algebra 2 Tutor (10th-12th)</p>

<p>If possible, please also chance for merit based scholarships (I really need them, but I’m not challenged enough to be eligible for significant financial aid) I’d REALLY like to get USC trustee! :slight_smile: THANK YOU!!!</p>

<p>Imo your chances are excellent at all of your choices, except that Stanford is a reach for everyone. You also sound like a great candidate for the usc trustee, but you would get a scholarship there anyhow for national merit. Stanford and Pomona don’t have merit - based scholarships, but I don’t know about the rest. Also, you are a good candidate for Pomona, but they accept so few people. Are you applying early anywhere?</p>

<p>I think you will get into them all, but with some of the top schools having incredibly low acceptance rates, there is always some doubt.</p>

<p>I have read, for example, that Stanford could reject its entire freshman class, and still field a brilliant freshman class from its rejects. And then, do the same thing again.</p>
