You have a good chance, but there are several things that you must do depending on what year you are. No matter what anyone tells you, you should try and retake your ACT. Not because you got a 35, but because you got an 8/12 on your writing. You want to make sure a college can’t say anything against you, and can say more things for you. I’m sure your boarding school will give you all the counseling you need.

^don’t listen to him… you can make up for that writing score by writing kick ass essays. It seems that is all that you really need with your GPA . My one concern would be no leadership roles (unless you just didn’t list them).

Don’t retake the ACT, a 35 and 8 is good enough. A few more points on writing is not your priority for strengthening your application. And, as cudreams said, a strong essay will most likely suffice in counteracting an 8 on the ACT writing.
