Chance me?

Hello I’m in TN and I’d like to get out to California for college. UCLA, UCB, Pepperdine, CalTech, maybe even Stanford which may be a stretch but here I go.

3.97 UW GPA (b in art I freshman year, for what it’s worth)
4.5 weighted
Top 5% in class rank at a top notch high school
Varsity XC and track all 4 years of high school
36 composite on the act, 9 on the damn writing
Perfect scored the national French test given at my school every year.
Won first in the nation in a medical math competition for HOSA (kind of obscure but at least its something I guess)
Will have a total of 8 AP classes at the end of school
2280 SAT, still have the subject tests to take but expecting an 800 in math2 and physics and a 700+ in French.
Lastly, I’m adopted from Russia and poor, and I’m hoping those two things might give me some valuable ammunition to use on those essays if the topic is relevant. Thanks to those who reply.

Bump; i should also mention that, judging from my state’s cutoff of past years, I should qualify for national merit

Ohhhhkay…who’s going to be the chancelor!?

Good chances, but you need more extracurricular activities.

All except Caltech and Stanford look like you should be good for. Caltech may be ok for you too but the applicant pool is very competitive. Stanford will probably want to see more ECs. Your grades and test scores are great though. The varsity sports will also help you, especially for Stanford. However you need some community service or something Of that nature. Good luck!
