My Uni list is as follows:
Harvard
princeton
Yale
Dartmouth
Penn
Columbia
Brown
Cornell
MIT
Caltech
Stanford
Duke
UCLA
UC Berkley
NYU
NYUAD
Michigan State Uni

I’m not gonna apply to all of them, just those in which I think i have a good chance of being accepted.

Here are my stats:
1- SAT-I : 2300
2- SAT-II : Physics 800, Chemistry 780, Maths II 800
3- High school : There is no GPA system in my school, so I don’t know what it is equivalent too. There’s a percentage system here. I got 94% in my science subjects (Physics, Chem, Computer and Math) in 9th and 10th grade. In my junior year i got 86%( Math score was terrible. 68 out of a 100). Will get around 95% this year hopefully. More than 80% on my combined English score.
4- In top 3 of my class for the last 2 years.
5- 1st position in the young-journalist essay writing competition in my city when i was in 8th grade. 3rd Position in 9th Grade.
6- 1st position in a science project competition. Made electricity from water by the process of electrolysis.
7- Microsoft Certified Professional. One of the youngest in the world. Passed the exam when I was only 11 and a half years old.
8- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist. Again, One of the youngest if not the youngest in the world at that time. This one was relatively new at that time so I could have been the youngest. Only 12 years old at that time.
9-Cisco Certified Network Associate. A very complex networking certificate to have. Passed this year.
10- Exceptionally good at soccer. Just need a trial to show how good I am.
11- Work Experience: Interned at a very nationwide popular bank. Glowing recommendation from the AVP himself!
12- Worked with a local NGO helping the homeless in the rural areas.

I know that being the president of a club and stuff like that increases your chances very much but there are no clubs and student societies at my school.

BUMP Can someone please have a look?

What is your gender/ethnicity/regional location? Those will all have an impact. I think your list is ivy league-heavy, and perhaps you should add some mid-range (in terms of selectivity) schools. Your ECs sound really great and may give you an edge at MIT and Caltech. Given your unique background, I think you have a shot at all of them - a better shot than most.

I’m male, Pakistani. And thanks for the views mate. Really appreciate that.

Wow all those Microsoft certificates are impressive! I see you forte are computer & sciences. I think you have a great chance for all of the schools you applied to, make sure those certificates come first in your list on Common App though. Apart from that, maybe your grades in school and your rank could be a little higher. That’s the only downside to your application in my opinion.
Have you ever traveled out of Pakistan? That could add a plus, especially for schools like NYUAD (which I’m also applying to btw!).
I think your list is well done, sure you’re targetting the best, but you also have some safeties like NYU and Michigan. Maybe try adding an extra safety? We never know…

I wish you the best of luck!!
& could you chance me back if you have the time? thanks :)

Thank you very much for your views. Also i would like to add that my intended major is Mechanical Engineering and i would need financial aid too

Have a look and chance me. And I’ll chance you back

Please have a look people. I’m freaking out

Sweet SAT! I don’t really understand your GPA system so I can’t comment about that. You’ve got some pretty sick EC’s too man. I think you’re in that category where for all the IVY leagues you got a good shot but there is no telling. From what ive seen in previous years, once you’re in this category its like limbo. But i think you got a pretty good shot at all of those schools but some like Harvard and MIT may be a bit tough

I don’t really have that much of a desire to go to harvard or MIT. I just want to go to Dartmouth or Princeton.
