Umm, weighted is 3.5, unweighted is like… a 3
These are so low I don’t even know if applying for good schools are even an option at this point

SAT reasoning is 2280

Extracurriculars… IDK if choir counts? Barely any volunteer hours… And I did Tae Kwon Do for a bit in my freshman year, but quit when I broke my ankle… I have like, nothing good here…

AP scores:
World History: 5
AP Lang: 5
APUSH: 4
Calc AB: 5
Psych: 4

senior year im taking calc bc and ap lit

im asian so that will prolly hurt me

should i even look at ucb/ucd/ucsd/ucla or should I just go to a state school

U have pretty good ap scores and sat score, but it is obvious that your ECs are almost zero. You can try lower tier UCs, since higher tier UCs look more at gpa than scores. You can also try community college and transfering out

I really don’t want to be harsh, but your chances are very low. Try applying to some lower tier UC’s, including UCSD and UCSB. Maybe try the TAG program to transfer in from a community college if you really need to, although this is a little extreme.
The only saving graces are your SAT and APs. Thank your lucky stars for those. And try thinking of any qualities or achievements you have, you’ll really need them!
WRITE AMAZING ESSAYS. That’s pretty much your only hope at this point.

@mommyrocks. The reality is an applicant with a GPA below 4.0 weighted is below the average for 6 of the 9 UC’s and UC’s put a heavy emphasis on GPA.
Your SAT is competitive but the GPA mismatch will hurt. You have decent chances at UCSC/UCR/UCM. There is no harm in applying to some Mid-tier UC’s such as UCSB/UCI or UCD just realize that they are reaches at that GPA. Essays and EC’s will come into play but only admissions will know how much. You should consider some Cal States as backups. Good Luck
