-Class Rank: Top 16% (Again, school doesn’t weight grades which didn’t work out in my favor)

<p>Out of School activities:
-District Curriculum Advisory Committee (DCAC) (2013-Present)- Student representative on the local area DCAC. Provide student insight to help increase student achievement by planning and approving instruction and curriculum.
-Professional Development for Teachers (2013)- Helped lead professional development for teachers at the request of the principal by creating a student panel to talk to the staff about cultural competency in the classroom.
-Teacher Fellowship Program (2013-2014)- Participant in the Teacher Fellowship Program and co-taught a Drama Class with other teacher fellows. Directed a one-act and led various theatre and musical exercises under the guidance of a supervising teacher.
-Nex-Gen (2012-present)- Minority youth entrepreneurship network focused on building leadership and entrepreneurial skills through hands on experience and work on building own companies.
-Fidgety Fairy Tales, Minnesota Association for Children’s Mental Health (2009- Present) – Acted in five different Fidgety Fairy Productions which traveled around Minnesota to spread awareness and reduce stigma towards mental health disorders through fairy tales.
-Muslim Journeys Series, National Endowment for the Humanities (2014) – Participated with a panel of college students from local university discussing Fatima Mernissi’s book, Dreams of Trespass: Tales of a Harem Girlhood.

<p>Research Work:</p>
<p>-Benefit Corporations Research Project (2014)– Completed a research brief on Benefit and B Corporations for professor in China.
-Ethnic Market Series- Photography Project (2013-2014) - Photographs on ethnic art, business and culture used in the following reports in Minnesota: Black Heritage Capital in Minnesota (Council on Black Minnesotans); Economic -Contributions of Immigrants in Minnesota (Minnesota Chamber of Commerce); Little Africa Launch at Snelling Café, St Paul and video broadcasted on local cable.
-Student researcher in The Whiteness Project: a Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR), Theatrical Inquiry into Whiteness (2012-2013)- Discussed whiteness in collaborative settings, participated in playbuilding sequence, and performed in the production.
-“The Transformation of University Avenue by Immigrant Entrepreneurs (1980-2012)”. (2012) –Did primary fieldwork by collecting data on immigrant entrepreneurs along University Avenue.</p>
<p>Work Experience:
-President, CEO - iPerform Theatre Company. 7/2010 to present.: Started my own theatre company with my friend-- We have summer theatre camps for kids through parks and rec in the summer. We use theatre to build community in our neighborhood and boost interest in the fine arts.
-Intern, Minnesota Department of Transportation. 10/2014- Present</p>

<p>-Drama/English/Research teacher: I will be getting a rec from the teacher that facilitated the work with ‘The Whiteness Project’ and that I did a teacher fellowship with. He knows me extremely well and should write a really good recommendation.
-English Teacher: Had this teacher for about two years, knows me well. Should be a good rec.
-Counselor: Don’t know him very well, but he knows a lot about my work with the school as well as my small business so it should be good.
Supp Rec from parent of child that has participated in my theatre camps since it was created (5 years).</p>
