CHANCE ME:-)

hey guys, I am reaching for mostly selective to very selective schools. Could you please chance me for the following schools/give me tips on how to improve? I want to apply to: Stanford (toughie I know), UF, FSU, UNC, Wake Forrest, Vanderbilt, UVA, Cornell, Vassar, and UCLA.
-I am a sophomore in high school currently(almost a junior)

Grades
-I have a 3.8 (UW) and a 4.2 weighted
-I got a 165 on my PSAT(I didn’t study)
-I take all honors classes (my school as a sophomore doesn’t offer any AP classes for our grade:-( )
-in top 10% of my class
-I’m taking the most challenging courses possible at my school next year for junior year

-EC’s
-MVP for varsity girls soccer all years I’ve played
-played varsity volleyball and we went to regionals
-NHS
-Student Leadership Academy (we debate, do service, have leaders in our community speak to us)
-on student government
-on Student Advisory Committee
-won regional art awards
-marine biology class

OTHER/RANDOM
-I own and write a successful travel/ and a little fashion blog
-I have been to 20+ countries
-good at and love photography
-starting a business where I’m selling t shirts that I have designed and giving 10% to help endangered marine animals (I have a passion for marine biology/ animals )

  • I am naturally good at about every sport I play (Stanford likes athletes I heard)
    -Animal Refuge Ambassador
-helped out with the Rick Scott for Florida political campaigning process (also interested in politics)
-volunteer at local old folks home and at animal refuge center and marine conservation center near me.

-if you could chance me for each one that would be great! And or if you have any tips. Thank You!

You have a long way to get a score in SAT within range for most, if not all, of these schools.

Blog is interesting, other ECs are not exceptional. Travel to 20 countries makes you look wealthy and entitled which is not helpful. Top 2 percent of class might put you in stanford territory. Take the ACT and the SAT and see how you do. Your PSAT would predict a 1650 SAT which is very far from what you need for a selective college. 2000 bare minimum, 2200 to be comfortable

uf-safety
stanford-high reach
vassar-low reach/high match
wake forest-target
cornell-reach
vanderbilt-reach
ucla-low reach
uva and unc-match(in state) high match(out of state)

i got a 194 on the psat sophomore year and it went up 20 points without studying the next year to a 214 so don’t stress too much about scores but definitely start studying for the sat/act this summer with a 165.
