Have a few ideas for some pretty good essays
Any advice/recommendations? I’m thinking of applying for LBW this summer too. Thank you so much!
^^ Sorry, couldn’t resist. Do you have any test scores? What kind of schools are you looking at? Getting a 5 on the AP Chinese exam is pretty difficult as a sophomore unless you are Asian. If so, as you know, being Asian from CA is pretty competitive in terms of college admissions. Are looking to get recruited for volleyball or the sport you went to Panama for? Not clear what your main interest is from your post.
Your GPA, course rigor and EC’s look good. Without SAT/ACT scores is difficult to gauge. Repost when you have test scores, a list of colleges you are interested in applying and intended major. Just keep the good work.
Hi Multiverse, yes I am an Asian from California (sucks :/) and no I am not looking to get recruited for either sport. I just want to gauge where my ECs are if I want to get in the LBW summer program or a private college.
Hi Gumbymom, I am interested in majoring in business, and my goal is some sort of private college/high UCs. Thank you!
Ideally, you want to start your ACT or SAT testing now so you can have several attempts left if necessary. Waiting until the late Spring to prepare is risky because you have APs and subject tests to prepare for. You are on track academically but you need to develop your interests outside of school as deeply as you can.
Start standardized testing as soon as possible. Sign up for the next available date for the sat and the act and see which one you do better on so you can focus on it and study.
