Chance Me

Test Scores: 33C ACT/ 1440 SAT
GPA: 3.75 (But I had special circumstances, my first two years and there’s a pretty large upward trend)
I’ve taken many AP/ IB classes, WGPA is 4.46
I have a solid amount/quality of ECs and I have leadership roles in a couple of clubs.
I’m OOS.
My LoR’s are pretty good i think.
I really liked my essays.
Will Chance Back!

If you look at Class of 2021’s profile:
Acceptance Rate: 16 %
ACT Range: 32~34

So you do have a shot (although your GPA is low). However, with an acceptance rate of 16%, no one knows whether you would get accepted or not. I’ve seen people with lower scores get accepted and high scores get rejected (and the other way around). So just apply and see what happens.

(I just want to say that chancing each other doesn’t make sense. How can you chance others when you can’t properly chance yourself? Especially when you don’t have their essays? This works vice versa. So my 2 cents of advice would be to just apply and hope for the best!)

Good Luck

Wesleyan is not a state school. OOS status is irrelevant.

“Wesleyan is not a state school. OOS status is irrelevant.”

Well, not entirely. They will only take a certain amount of students from each state, especially from CT. If you are from, say, South Dakota or other under-represented state it may actually give you a small boost.
