<p>You are at the low end of the SAT range. You should take the SAT again and the ACT. Otherwise your chances are not good. Also, your class ranking is important. To have a good chance you need to improve your SAT and be in the top 10-20% of your class</p>
<p>admissions are getting more and more random. Thankfully Rochester is pretty holostic, so those good ECs will help and a good personal statement will also help. While I wasn’t a big fan of the SATs, I think you should definately retake it and bring it up to the median range for Rochester which is like ~650 in both sections. Is you gpa weighted or unweighted? If its weighted, you should try to bring it up and show an upward trend, gpa is big for Rochester.</p>
<p>Retake SATs, but do not worry about em too much. At one point (2005-2006), Rochester was actually considering dropping them as an evaluative tool.</p>
<p>They are very big on the holistic evaluation approach and on diversity. Being a greek jew (please emphasize this at the interview.and tell them how this will add to their “diverse” student body, how it has affected yours/others lives, BS, etc, more BS) </p>
<p>DO NOT write a long essay (2 pages max with double spacing) …no one will read the whole thing…i know because I work there. </p>
<p>Also, emphasize those “very good” ECs.</p>
