I think you’re in.

Woah woah…why are you two going so fast? I think some of his ECs are impressive, being the leader of so many things. However, his GPA and class rank are going to be against him. His SAT scores are fine, especially his math. Great job! You have to remember though that at UF state residency is an admission factor, and because it is a public school it is slightly harder for out-of-state students to get in. For this reason, I believe the decision can swing either way.

he is canadian though

That doesn’t matter that much. Remember UF caters to state residents. UF sometimes rejects people simply because they need to reserve spots for more state residents, and I think that is against him.

i was from Jacksonvile florida when i was in grade 9 and i got a gpa of about 3.87. But when i get to Toronto, there wasn’t any Honor or IB courses so my even if u get 90% it is still a 3.6 GPA. I am a FL state resident and a canadian Citizen.

“One of the best high schools in our city?”
That’s really not saying much…
