<p>The EC’s are great, but the grades are a bit on the lower side. Really can’t tell.</p>

<p>^ Impatience is a human trait. If you want to argue about the point of chance threads, you should make your own thread instead of randomly ranting on somebody else’s. The OP is asking for chances. </p>

<p>SAT is slightly low, but not too bad. You can certainly still get in. </p>

<p>if you are not asking for financial aid then i can guarantee you that you’ll get in…if you are asking for aid, well, that’s a comletely different story…cornell is known to be stingy when it comes to giving aid to internationals…however, considering you’re a national gymnast, you might get some aid, and your chances of acceptance will be inversely proportional to the amount of aid you ask…good luck</p>

<p>I think your app is GREAT. I mean, considering you’re international, if they expect 2400s and 4.0 GPAs, they are just crazy. Your ECs are beyond impressive, and I’m sure it will help a lot when they look at your app overall. I agree with quag_mire in that if you do need financial aid, you might get pulled down since most US schools and pretty much all ivies give their money to needed US students. </p>

<p>Are you just bitter or something? If you don’t wanna chance these applicants, then go away and don’t bother looking at the posts. People asking for chances want to know what to expect when decisions come out because other peoples’ opinions actually matter and often works. They just want to know how they stand among other applicants, especially those on CC since a lot of us are above-average students/applicants. People with 4.0s and 2400s get rejected from ivies, and what, you don’t think they are bitterly disappointed? </p>

<p>This is called human socializing and trading perspectives. If you can’t do that, then you don’t belong on this forum, or in any good college, especially Cornell.</p>
