I know my SAT scores are quite low but still…do you think I have a shot? Chance me please!

If your name is actually Mohinder Suresh… then you will probably get in! If not, then I think you’re fighting an uphill battle. Not impossible, but improbable. (but then again, that applies to almost everyone). I am assuming because you didn’t say so that you weren’t good enough to be recruited for gymnastics?

Note:
Your chances can vary quite extremely depending on the nature of your current research at an ivy league school, as well as how much weight they put on being an unrecruited athlete.

All that you can do now is wait…

Applying ED?

nope i didn’t :-</p>

What are my chances to be waitlisted? :p

I don’t know… you really shouldn’t rely on my opinion, or anyone else’s for that matter. You are a unique person, and your profile has some pros and cons. Just remember, people with all pros and no cons will be rejected this year, so its a toss-up what will happen to the rest of us mere mortals. You are clearly qualified to attend, but not everyone can be accepted. Frankly, if you told me you were rejected, wait listed, or accepted i wouldn’t be surprised. You don’t fall into any of the three categories with any certainty.

Alright thanks. Just wanna get a general idea of how my stats are. I only want to be waitlisted… lol. I know it’s crazy but I really think I’ll get rejected. I want the chance to at least send in a new SAT (March) and more ECs after that. argh.

I don’t think they’ll accept your march SATs. Because by the time you take it, they are graded, and you send it to Penn, there will be only 1 week until they send decisions! By that point, your fate would have already been sealed. In hindsight, yes it would’ve made sense to try and boost your SAT scores, but I am sure you did the best you can, and unless you thought your scores was a complete misrepresentation of your ability, you would never move more than 100 points in either direction, and you basically have an equal chance of going down.
