Okay, so I took the SSAT, and I already have recieved my scores. I have 99 in Verbal, 99 in Math, 96 in Reading, and a total percentile of 99. Although this may sound sure-fire, I have only 4 or 5 extracurriculars. I’m applying to University Laboratory High School. It has ALOT of applicants. Do you think I could get in?

Please post someone.

bump…help the person the out, guys

It would be helpful to post more information (grades, sports, awards,FA candidate, etc)

I personally haven’t heard much about the school you are talking about, but there is bound to be someone who knows it really well.

Thanks for the bump ^_^. Well, I have all A’s, and one A-. I did peer tutoring, peer mediation, table-tennis, chorus, and badminton. I was valedictorian of my graduating class, and have been on the honor roll since 6th grade.

btw, the school is in Urbana, Illinois.

Well, your SSAT scores are definitely what will (should) set you apart. I have to remember you aren’t applying to an Exeter/Andover/Deerfield etc., because at those schools I think you’d need stronger EC’s (not necessarily more, just stronger - it’s quality not quantity) but from the sounds of it this school isn’t nearly as competitive, so I’m sure you’re a very strong applicant.

Thanks, I hope I can get in. There’s a new puppy in the deal for me. ^_^

…bump…

sorry but i’ve never heard of the school ur applying to

yeah lol i haven’t heard of that school but you sound like a strong candidate and your scores are awesome
good luck!

Thanks.
Its a pretty small school, and not that well-known. Its not a BS by the way.
