-Essays: Good (about my patent i have for a new invention)
-Teacher Recs: i guess good, but i have not seen them
-Counselor Rec: good i guess, again i have not seen them
-Legacy: Dad went to medical school at UMD, but i don’t think counts as legacy
-Financial Aid: Not Necessary</p>

<p>What we think is almost irrelevant in this case; your college counseling office should have a better idea of how UMCP looks at your school and how students have fared in the past.</p>

<p>If your gpa is in the 80’s you might have a problem even if it is the best school in MD. Look around in your school see what your competition is like. LY UMD accepted 1 out of 7.</p>
