<p>I’ve been reading CC for quite a while, and it would really help if I know my chances of getting in in this 5 month waiting period. I’m so nervous! Thanks guys! </p>

<p>Schools Applied: UCLA, UCD, UCB, UCSD (tag)
GPA: 3.97
Major: Anthropology
Essay: 8/10
EC’s: mostly not related to major, but have lots of social service
Other: Have 5 W’s and 1 non-transferable NP (I have made up all W’s and have received an A) (4 of the W’s were from one semester under difficult circumstances to continue–I wrote about this in the third section of the essay) </p>

<p>Will my W’s have a great impact on my application, although almost all were from one semester? I’m definitely nervous. </p>

<p>If you explained the reasons for the W’s in your essay you should be OK. You’ve got a good GPA. If your essays are compelling I would say that you’ve got a good shot at any one of the schools you’ve applied to.</p>

<p>The W’s aren’t really too big a deal. I was probably one of the worst offenders and I was still accepted to the all my UC choices (UCB, UCLA, UCD, UCSC).</p>

<p>I’m just still so anxious and nervous about the whole process. I really only want to get into UC Berkeley. It’s the closest to home. </p>

<p>closest to home…? thats awful; spread your wings a little. I am currently at UCD, and home is the bay area, and I sometimes wish I had gone a little further… UCLA distance perhaps</p>
