<p>I really love Duke. I hope I get in, but I want to hear if you guys think I can get in
GPA
Freshmen: 3.4/3.0
Overall: UW 3.584, W 3.889
Also got a 3.5 1st sem senior year</p>

<p>Class load: total of 5 APs, 6 Honors. Also took classes in local colleges</p>

<p>SAT/AP
SAT: 2240- 770M, 740 CR, 800 W
Subject: 800 Math II, 780 B-E, 750 B-M, 710 Chem, 700 Lit
APs: Bio (5), Psych (5), Stats(4)
Planning to take Chem, Calc BC, Econ (not class)</p>

<p>ECs
Blackbelt in TKD after a lot of physical trauma (doing since age 10)
National level awards ethnic folk dance (doing since age 4)
Classical Singing-lots of local performances (doing since age 7)
Tutoring kids in elem school, library, other (mainly math and science) (not paid)
Volunteer with a local organization raising awareness about bone marrow registry (office work & helping at drives)
Religious Organization (kinda like a church but not, since I’m not Christian) where we learn about our religions, other religions, great world leaders, and how to become a better person in general (its really inspiring)</p>

<p>Essays:
They were pretty good. I really loved my why duke essay and thats when i fell in love with the school.
Major: Biomedical Engineering</p>

<p>I dunno, I looked at what they value highly and consider. The funny thing is they only consider your GPA/class rank while they highly value your course load. In theory you could have a 3.0 gpa and take straight AP/IBs and stand a chance. Your awards in folk dancing are good. Your volunteer work is good, so is your tutoring. Where is leadership? That could really help you out. I don’t know how to call this, but I would say your competitive. I don’t want to crush your spirit, ut at the same time I don’t want to get your hopes up if you get rejected. Good luck.</p>

<p>honestly, i think you are rejected as I most likely will be. The applicant pool is exxtremely competitive this year</p>
