Chance Me!

Hi! I’m a junior (high school) from New York, and I’d be applying to the HSSEAS (School of Engineering). My grades have increased every year, year over year, since 9th grade (from the low 3.7’s to low 3.8’s, unweighted). All the courses are AP-rated.

Grades are divided into [first trimester] / [second trimester] / [third trimester expected]

European History: A / A / A
Theology (Ethics): A / A / A
Pre-Calculus: B+ / A / A
Physics: B+ / A / A
German: A / A+ / A+
English (British Literature): B+ / A / A
Phys. Ed: A / A / A
Fine Arts (Music/Art History): B+ / A / A

Total Unweighted GPA: 3.78-3.83, depending on Pre-Calculus Grade.

For EC’s, I’m an officer in a couple of clubs, member of a number more, and have done (to date) about 30 hours of community service (should I do more over the summer, perhaps)? Additionally, I’ll be participating an exchange program in Germany (Berlin) over the summer for 3 weeks. Finally, I’ve had a job for the past 2 summers and intend on getting one this year as well. (Side note: I won a medal in a regional math competition in 7th grade, would that help me at all? haha)

SAT’s:

2210 / 2400 –> 1510/1600 composite
800 CR
710 Math
710 Writing

Chemistry: 750
Biology M: 670

I’m also planning on taking the English Literature and the Math I.
