How are the SATs so low, yet the GPA so high…?

Some people don’t test well, especially on standardized tests like the SAT/ACT versus focused tests like the AP’s. I have a 3.98 UW at a very tough school but came up with a 610 on the math section. Plus, they obviously took the test sometime in the past year, and even just a few months can make a huge difference. The retake can make a huge difference.

Aside from the scores, however, I think you look pretty good! Keep working at that EC list, it looks like you’re very active and interested. Your grades seem good and a good show on the AP’s backs it up.

Maybe try the ACT if your SAT score doesn’t increase much off of this next retake? You may do better, especially since you seen to have a good grasp of the sciences (taking AP Bio on Monday, it’s tough). You might also benefit from taking SAT subject tests in 3 strong areas…I imagine that if you did well, that would make a poor Reasoning Test look less important.

I think everything looks very solid except those SATs, which look quite weak for NU. I agree that you need to take them again and should also try the ACT, since some students do significantly better on that than the SAT.

Yeah, i just took a really bad test that day…im taking it again…ill update when i do…but thanks for the other input…im glad to see that my other info is solid…or it appears to be
