chance me?

I am committed to going to U Pitt…but I am going to also look into UCLA as a 2nd choice.
Assuming a 2000-2100 sat, a 790 and 670 sat II (us history and chem), 11 ap classes ( there are fourteen possible - three are language, and i am not taking them) and 5’s on all of them, a 3.96 gpa, 400+ volunteering at library an hospital (around 12 hours each week), NHS leader, all those ap awards, state university classes (3-4), community service in the form of philanthropy, key club activities, fund raising for building schools in uganda, GOING to uganda (maybe) to build those schools, winning all-state speech competitions, and earning gold medals in science olympiad regional and state competitions, a good essay, killer recommendations (ucla doesn’t need this, but I might send it…?), and an act score of 31-33?

CAN I get into ucla? does their undergraduate neuroscience program compare to u pitt?
:)

Bump :frowning: …

Just one response? BumP?

I would say you are within range of UCLA but its no guarantee

If you are asking about Pitt also, then I’d say yes, you would probably be in…

Pitt’s neuroscience program is really, really good. I don’t know about UCLA, but you have to think about how well known the research/academics are for medicine here.

Just my two cents :)

Do you reside in California?

You’re in range, especially if you hit 2100. Ignore those who say it’s harder being OOS. Not true these days, they are rapidly increasing the number from OOS as they badly need the money.

It is true that UCs are loosening up on OOS applicants, but it’s still harder for them to get in than for in state applicants.

if the 3.9 gpa in weighted then i guess no, but if it unweighted i say yes. good luck

thank you all for the replies!
