Oops, sorry - I copied this from my original post in the Princeton forum. My UW GPA including my freshman year is a 3.62 but after the 1st semester of senior year it will be a 3.68.

great resume but what is your intended major? So long as you have a clear direction and can convey that properly, you should have a pretty good shot.

I'm assuming it's something bio/environment related?

Grats on intel/siemens btw, considering you do have major awards, might be worth it to cut out some minor details to show more focus and so they don't actually MISS READING your major awards. Remember that you don't have to put everything down, just what you think presents you well (some 9th grade stuff etc can be left out unless you want to mention it to show your enduring commitment)

and this is for CAS? or bioeng?

Your GPA would be considered low at Penn and I do not feel your EC's offset this fact, even though you are one busy student. Your ACT score is excellent, but you are applying to a school with an extremely competitive applicant pool. Overall, I'm guessing you only have a 33% shot. Write unbelievable essays and hope for a little luck....

I am curious about the gpa though, how did 3 years with 3.5, 4, 4, average to 3.75?

and @jshain, while the list is kinda long, if you read it more carefully, I think you'll agree she has more than a fair shot.

This is definitely one of the stronger applicants

I completely missed your awards and achievements section!? You're right disgradius, those EC's are VERY impressive!! Sorry, greenGEEK for overlooking this....

Thanks so much for all of your replies! I honestly was not expecting such positivity.

Disregard my idiotic calculations :] I was exhuasted when I made this thread. Anyway, including my freshman year, my UW GPA will be around a 3.7.

I'm praying that my ECs will indeed offset my GPA a bit.
