What is the chance of child getting into Kelley School of Business? Any other schools you can suggest with these stats in the mid-west? Trying to keep cost at $50k per year or less.

  • ACT/SAT Scores: 30 superscore
  • AP classes : 6 ( taking 3 more senior year)
  • Honors classes : 4
  • OOS applicant
  • Varsity Tennis, DECA, NHS volunteer hours, peer tutoring
  • Summer job as well as internship last 3 years

If the weighted 3.94 GPA is on the transcript and your D only attended one HS, she is a direct admit to Kelley. (IU superscores). IU will be a bit above the budget though, this year’s COA around $56K.

What is the highest level math your D has taken? Other ideas that may get under $50k in the Midwest include DePaul, Loyola, Iowa, U Dayton, Purdue, SLU, Michigan State.

Highest Math class : AP Calculus BC ( taking senior year)

Do see if you can apply for scholarships in IU to get the COA down to 50k range. In terms of business education and placement a slight premium for IU Kelley is justified in my opinion.

I would also suggest Marquette and Miami/Ohio. Not sure what their merit scholarships are like these days but worth a look.
