How did you get a 4.05 unweighted ? Is it out of 4.33 - ie you get extra for +?

Assuming that’s the case, and it’s like a 3.7 of 4.0, it’s not impossible but not great odds anywhere.

What are your backups ?

Since you put Michigan the avg for lsa is 3.93 unweighted with 32-35 Act. A bit higher for engineering.

So your competitive if your numbers are correct with the 95,000 applications.

All the schools you listed are reaches for everyone. What are the safeties you have listed that she would enjoy going to like your local public?

You have to list “other” schools you researched otherwise you will get a hodge podge of schools.

Does she want large schools, small schools, urban, etc etc.

Look at section C in the common data set for each school your interested in.
https://obp.umich.edu/campus-statistics/common-data-set/

Just because you have the grades /stats just means your competitive for that school. Not that you will be accepted.

Talk to the schools counselor to see the history of the school having students accepted into Michigan and what grades etc. If her grades /scores are higher then the high schools avg that is helpful. You are compared to your school not everyone applying.

My opinion…your student has the chance to be accepted to any of these…BUT none are even close to sure things.

Do they have other options on the list that are more likely for admissions? If so, then these are fine for applications. If NOT, then find some less selective options first…
