Well, my friend is very smart and would absolutely love to go to Harvard.
Only probelm is, he doesn’t score well on standardized tests. 25 ACT 2080 SAT. low 600s on SAT 2s. He has a stellar GPA, 4.15 weighted, around 3.9 UW. Took around 4 APs. As in all. He has a strong passion for science and has done well in many science fairs in his state and in the U.S. I work with him in a biochem lab and we talk about this like everyday. He lives in North Dakota like me, obviously. He is involved with many clubs in school-NHS, Key Club, German Club Pres. etc. He is taking a 500-level Biochemistry class at UND with me and he does very well. I’m just wondering if he would have any chance at all. Qualifies for FinAid and he has a cool idea about science and living in ND. Ii know he would strive at Harvard or any school. Please respond. Thanks guys.

Despite being very bright he needs to do better on SAT/ACT.

You think if he got his SAT up to a 2160+ he’d get in? His essay is really unique.

The fact that you live in North Dakota reaaaalllllly helps. If he gets that ACT up to at least a 29 he has a shot.

You must really care about “your friend.”

check out my stats if you don’t believe me.
