Chance my friend?

I think my friend really has the potential to get into Ivy League schools but shes only aiming for state universities. Since she’s an international student, she’s not taking the SATs which could help her even more so if you think she has a chance, ill try to convince her.

Uh…as in US state universities? Pretty sure they require the SAT or ACT anyways.

No, there a lot of SU’s that don’t require ACT or SAT

What is SU?

On the contrary, lots of US colleges require SAT/ACT, or some sort of college entrance examination results.

Does she need financial aid to attend?

Even if she’s applying to a state school, she’ll probably need the ACT or SAT. Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1854384-chance-me-for-these-colleges-p1.html

Lets just say IF she were to take it (possibly with a score of 2100+), what would her chances be with these grades aswell? Because if the only thing holding her back is the SAT/ACT requirement, then ill definitely have to convince her. Thanks for all the comments btw!

The thing with ivies is that once you’re above a certain level, you have just about as good a chance as anyone else. That is, someone with average scores might have a 0.0000001% chance of getting into Harvard, whereas someone with a 2400 and a 4.0 has a 6% chance (the overall acceptance rate), since there are so many other applicants with very high scores. I do think your friend is capable of getting in, however. She should definitely take the SAT or ACT.
