Chance my girlfriend (she doesn't have a CC account)

she’s obv. more qualified than me for the elite schools, but i’m a nicer person… haha not that the ivies care.

Private school
3.94 GPA (unweighted)
SAT: 2350 (800 CR, 780 M, 760 W) (combined–the best in one sitting was a 2310)
SAT II’s: 790 USH/ 800 Lit/ 680 Math2
AP’s: Euro5, USH5, Lit5, Calc4

Asian female

EC:
-president of environment club from gr. 9-12 (3 members haha)
-interns for a local magazine (she has her own press pass!)
-works at a music store
-editor for school newspaper 2 yrs. in a row; was a writer before then
-layout editor for 2 yrs. for the school lit magazine

Awards: School liberty award, Annual school honorable mention writing award

she’s an amazing writer so her essays are gonna kickass, and so are her recs from her english teacher and her history teacher. she’s a humanities chic

chance: all of the ivies; nothing else is acceptable for her. columbia is her top choice

all of the ivies? no backup school?

Her math 2 score is kind of low, and her EC is a little bit lacking

I’d suggest she retake her math (she got a 780 on her SATI, so she can definitely do better) and try doing some volunteering during the summer, maybe a competition or two.

even without doing this, i’d say she stands a good chance at all the ivies, but if she can’t deal with anything else, she’d better have a stellar application

Does she know how different some of the ivies are?

And nothing else is acceptable for her, eh? So every other non-ivy school is under her standards?

Anyways, she has a decent shot at some of the ivies. But then again they are unpredictable. She should get some matches and safeties. Even if they aren’t good enough for her.
