Community Service: Does a lot of comm serv with his mission group, came back from vancouver recently but I don’t know exactly how many hours.

could you guys chance him for the following: Rice University, The University of Texas at Austin, Harvard, Georgetown, University of Pennsylvania, UCLA, UC Berkeley, UNC Chapel Hill, Stanford

He has an excellent shot at all the schools you listed but Harvard, Penn and Stanford, which, due to his weak ECs, will probably be relative reaches.

In at UT Austin.

It’s a very top-heavy list for someone with such in-the-box ECs.

Yeah unless your friend has some major ECs you don’t know about…his chances at Harvard and UPenn are pretty slim

I completely agree with billabong.

He should get into all but Harvard and Stanford, which he does not have the CR score or ECs for.

^And btw his scores add up to a 2260. Typo?

Berkeley loves applicants with very high HS GPA, and it’s accepting more international students now than ever before.

I’d say you are a strong candidate for Berkeley L&S. Not sure for engineering, though, but your chances at Berkeley is higher than at H and Stanford.
