Chance of 3.33 GPA student getting accepted

As the title suggests I have a 3.33 unweighted GPA due in a large part to procrastination and just pure laziness. I was wondering if it is still possible for me to get accepted.
Other information:

SAT: 1750 in March, took again in October hoping for 2000
Class Rank: 44 out of 204
AP classes: Took two last year and currently taking four. Got 4 on AP U.S.
Community College: Successfully completed English 101 got an A.

Extra curricular: Robotics team(10th grade), Science club( 11th grade), Debate team and science club(this year)

Sports: Track

Internship: Worked at a research lab at Johns Hopkins.
Also, could anyone recommend another college in which I have a chance of getting into.

Assuming you are from MD…anything is possible; hopefully your SAT scores rose the way you hope. UMBC should be worth a try, as well. If you are out of state, I’d say it would be a stretch for UMD…

If you get accepted to UMD, it would probably be for Spring semester. If you are a Maryland resident, you should get into Towson. If you like the idea of a small school, you might like St. Mary’s College of MD (good student-teacher ratio and good value, beautiful setting on the water). Good luck!

I am a Maryland resident, does this improve my chances? Also, I really don’t want to go to Towson I rather go to UMBC (its my #2 school).

Yes, being a MD resident greatly improves your chances at CP, but it will still be a bit of a reach for you. I think you have a decent shot at UMBC, especially if your SAT’s go up. UMBC also considers the writing section, whereas CP does not. UMBC also says they use your academic GPA (not sure about CP). I don’t know if that helps or hurts you, but your 6 AP’s will look good at UMBC.
