chance of being accepted to penn state?

<p>so I’m going to major in architecture and can’t go to a branch college because only university park offers architecture. </p>

<p>GPA: 3.5
ACT: 25 in September (I just took the October one today)</p>

<p>sadly my SAT scores are lower than my ACT score equivalence. my super score is a 1690.
Math section: 580
reading section: 570
writing section: 540
essay: 9
AP/ honors classes : 7 total</p>

<p>I teach taekwondo 5 days a week and am usually on the matt instructing 3-6 hours a day.
I am in Mu Alpha theta ( math honors society )
I have raised over 10,000 dollars hosting an Alex’s Lemonade Stand every year for the past 10 years</p>

<p>… not to be one of those kids who relies on their health issues, but I had heart surgery sophomore year and that really effected me. I also had a concussion junior year as well as multiple back spasms related to my herniated discs. I was out for a total of 30 days junior year and still managed a somewhat decent GPA. also the first SAT I took was within a week of when I received my concussion…</p>

<p>so… what do you think? what are my chances of being accepted for a major in architecture to Penn state? this is definitely my top choice and I just loved visiting there.</p>

<p>Your GPA is perfect. hovever ACT maybe not good enough. Have you considered giving the SAT? If you get a higher standardized test score, this will turn into a safety school for you!

<p>According to the bubble chart, with a 3.5 (counts for 2/3 decision), your SAT is too low and odds are high you either won’t get in or be directed to a branch campus for prereqs.</p>

<p>I think that your illness definitely is something that you overcame which colleges love to see. Not necessarily the concussion, but definitely the heart surgery.</p>

<p>Your GPA is fine, but I would work on raising your scores a bit! Also are you in state? That will help out.</p>
