Chance of Getting into UCI

<p>Hi CC, I’m planning on applying to UCI Dramatic Arts. I would like to know if I stand a chance/what should I do to increase my chance. Of course I have other colleges but UCI is my number 1 choice.</p>

<p>GPA: 2.8 (Will try to bring it up to about 3.2 this semester)
SAT: (Will be taking it this October and November. What score should I try to aim for?)
Also should I try to do my application hollisticly? I feel that my GPA is not that great.</p>

<p>I have to be honest and say you really how no chance of acceptance at UCI with your GPA regardless of your SAT. I have attached a link of UCI’s common data set and check page 9. 0% of students were accepted with GPA below 3.0. I would suggest you try the SUPERMATCH feature on this website to see which colleges you would have a chance at applying.

<p>You will not be able to improve your GPA by .4 pts in one semester. If you maintain a 4.0, MAYBE you can get to 3.0. But it’s unlikely that any student goes from 2.8 to 4.0. Try a school with open admissions, a school that accepts more than 70% of applicants, or CC and then transfer.</p>
