Chance of me getting into a DECENT/GOOD college? (15 Years old)

Hi i’m ____ and i’m 15 and i’m of Asian decent.

Most of my life academically i have not really TRIED hard. As a kid however maybe up until 4th grade, i was a star student, i don’t think that matters at all really though lol.
From 5th grade-6th grade, i constantly poured out F’s, due to family issues and my living condition at the time.
I’m now a soon to be sophmore in highschool.
Freshmen year i got MOSTLY C’s and B’s, i did pretty terrible on midterms and finals.
I’m on the varsity swimming team, and i run track. I also volunteer a lot, and just recently came back from a missionary trip to Guatemala to help the unprivileged.
Sophmore year i’m determined to try hard and do well, and at least get by with mostly B’s and A’s.
I have not taken ANY SAT’s or standardized tests other than the required ones for school.
Can i still get into an OK/DECENT and above college??
I really want to try Boston University and that’s my utmost goal.
I just don’t want to end up in a community college.
Please give me opinions on what could happen/chances of getting into a decent college are.

I’m new to this forum so please help me out
Thanks!

P.S. I REALLY want to do something with architecture/engineering

Anyone??? :frowning: I need answers ASAP!

So I have no idea what you consider an OK/decent college, but…

Being honest, no you did not do so great freshman year. C’s are something that you tend to want to avoid when applying to colleges that are on the more competitive side. Most college people will say that the transcript is one of the most important parts of the application, if you do pull your grades up you may want to look at schools that do not look at freshman year. Not taking the SAT yet is no big deal (I am a junior and will only be taking the ACT for the first time in December). As for the ECs I have no idea how many hours you have put in, but it is good that you started early (it will help you in the long run).

With your current grades BU seems unrealistic (I am assuming your GPA is something between 2.5 and 2.9). That being said you do have time to recover. Get off of CC, focus on school and improving your grades and see what happens.
