<p>SAT I- 2290, 740M 750CR 800W <–weird distribution(first time, not retaking!!)
SAT II- 800 math 2, 780 US history (pending) 780-800 physics (pending)
gpa- 3.98 uw, 4.79 weighted, weird situation with grades
rank- #2 or 3 class of about 500
AP scores- world hist-3(not reporting), us history, psychology, physics b, eng lang, calc ab- all 5</p>

<p>senior schedule:
ap stats
ap chemistry
ap physics c
ap eng lit
ap us government
german 3
painting 1
calculus 2 at college</p>

<p>total of 11 ap classes in high school</p>

<p>awards: nothing special, ap scholar distinction blah, academic letter award, varsity letter for cheerleading, student of the month, no national awards(don’t have time =[)</p>

<p>activities(most significant): varsity cheerleader for four years(most time consuming boy!! pretty much all i had time for), team captain of cheer team, went to competition, won state champs, organized local cheerleading competitions, taught little kids gymnastics</p>

<p>summer stuff: interned in china with uncle who is an engineer there, also taught chinese kids english, built robots one summer at a local college program, statistics program- took surveys and stuff excel rocks</p>

<p>past job: video editor for mom’s company</p>

<p>ethnicity- asian girl, 1st gen college, uhh middle class
location- dumb state, dumb school
major- mathematics!!!, or engineering or physics</p>

<p>Wow, your stats sound great! Especially since you’re such a stand-out asian, not the math/science nerdy type. It’s okay if you don’t have a national award—you already have state champs and clearly you are very busy.
You didn’t mention community service (unless I’m blind lol) which is a big thing for Yale, so if you don’t have quality/quantity for community service, I would work on that. Otherwise, keep up the good work! ^^</p>

<p>^lol thanks…yeah i guess i’m an “unusual” asian applicants…i’ve never played a musical instrument, didn’t get 800 on sat math, never done math competitions, science competitions, can’t speak an asian language…i regret this stuff sometimes though oh well i’ve always wanted to do the AMC but my school is not associated with it& i love math…
and my biggest extracurricular is varsity cheerleading =P i’ve cheered since sixth grade i was tiny haha</p>

<p>i’d say you have a good chance. you’re an unconventional asian, and yale really only takes asians with souls…and personality. write a great essay and cross your fingers.</p>
