Chance vs. Celebration

Are you guys still talking about the however question? " ;however " is grammatically correct as long as it is followed by a comma

I remember the book saying that for about that that asked to give the most ____ answer, the answer that was most _____ was correct as opposite to the one that made sense

i ended up getting those questions wrong every time because i picked the answer that made sense.

i realized on the test i wasn’t going to do the same mistake agian.

ok I hope ur right

the reason i chose it is because “a chance to experience” sounds more positive than “a celebration of”

celebration is more positive than chance

Celebration is def more positive
but chance also fits a lot better in the sentence

^ again goes back to the red book thing

i knew celebration didn’t fit in the best, but it was the most positive answer

guys, calm down…

Wasn’t it like…

“Which of the following would best show that buying property is a positive goal of the game?”

and it would be…celebration of.

Celebration Of here.

I don’t remember anything about positivity. I just put “chance to experience” because it contrasted with preceding clause, which was about the destitution of the Great Depression and didn’t think twice about it.

christiansoldier what’s your best composite?

Grammatically speaking:

;however, is DEFINITELY correct. “However” is a conjunctive adverb that connects two independent clauses. I’m on the school newspaper, so believe me, I’ve been hammered to have that remembered. Not to mention putting commas within quotation marks.

I got 36 on English last time.

We’ll see in 2 hours if someone gets a 36 (assuming -1 =/= 36)

@andloveyello, we know that ; however, is gramatically correct

i picked it as the answer

did anybody else use an answer with a colon like twice/

colon is for lists correcT?

yes it is for lists

I think you can put a short sentence after it too

alright sick

This question was the difference for me between a 32 and 33 composite…can’t say i’m pleased with the right answer.
