What are the weaknesses of my resume for college admissions (do you have any suggestions?) and do I have atleast a shot at ivies + Vanderbilt + case western reserve + boston college:
Extracirriculars:
- Speech and debate (4 years)-novice state champion, 3 time national qualifier, 4 time state qualifier, president of speech, category leader, national octafinalist, state runner-up, and NSDA All-American
- I run my own non-profit math and science enrichment agency (past 3 years)- We do fun experiments and presentations for middle schoolers to help develop their passions for STEM subjects.
- Founder and Director (highest officer postion) of History Club (past 2 years)- We do a bunch of projects to help the community, spread historical awareness, assist veterans, ect. I also have grown the club to 60+ members (one of the 5 largest clubs at my school)
- Soccer- I've played travel soccer for 12 years and I am currently the captain of our team
- Insturments- Piano (3 years), Saxophone (7 years) , Guitar (8 years), I started my own band, and a tutor a couple kids in my neighborhood too
- Karate (10 years) - 2nd degree blackbelt, assistant instructor, academic excellence award recipient, out standing leader ship award recipient
- Business club (3 years) - President, we do a bunch of impressive business oriented stuff, and have generated alot of profits
- Studied Abroad at a French college in quebec (sophmore year for a month during the summer)- I applied my knowledge by taking all of the French 3 course in 2 months and I also regularly tutor 3 kids in french.
- Boys State- this summer...
- Volunteering- 400+ hours at my local hospital and i am a recipient of the Presidential volunteer service award
