Let’s see how brave you are. I don’t like thinking about admissions from a probability standpoint, but I want to see how confident we are with our individual applications to Harvard.

Post what percent chance you think you have at making Harvard.

Write a brief justification of the percentage you chose.

Will you cry if you get rejected?

1: 5%
2: My testing is good. Nothing else about my application is Harvard material.
3: Nope I’ll be checking six other decisions. No time for tears (plus I won’t care).

I’m hoping that my little hook latched on to the ad rep like a hungry lamprey. Unfortunately they probably don’t even consider it a hook and my app has likely been sitting in the rejection pile for a month.

I’ll only cry if i get in.

1: 5%
2: Acceptance rate at Harvard
3: I’ll be sad, but I’ve already prepared myself for rejection from both Yale and Harvard and I’ve got four great choices already so I think I’ll be okay after a minute or so.

my scores are my downfall however, teaching an english class in eygpt, and buidling 3 wells, while teaching my towns people in Somalia how to build wells. Likewise, directed a class in Somalia speaking adressing HIV, and teaching them about how it spreads, and how to prevent oneself frome getting it. I also touched on how HIV is a virus which transcribes reversly. Created two-non profits and so forth…

no, I already know I wont get in, but i got my safety schools all set.

No tears here.

International from a country brimming with strong Harvard applicants. Have mediocre stats. Didn’t get an interview and anecdata says NO INTERVIEW==NO HARVARD (for internationals in the limited interviewer area).

No, I’m realistic about my chances…I’m prepared for the worst. I would cry if I get accepted though.

GreedIsGood (:D) and Felix share verbatim the same feelings as me.

1.) 97%
2.) Excellent app, what else can I say about something lengthy like my app in one sentence?
3.) Unanswerable, because I’m not going to be rejected. As GIG said, I’m not even going to entertain the possibility of rejection.

“Whether you think that you can, or that you can’t, you are usually right.”
“When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.”

I can’t tell if you and greed are ■■■■■■■■. But either way, I do not share your certainty of acceptance. I just feel good about my chances based on my presumption that Yale and Harvard are looking for the same things, which could be totally wrong.

1) 3%
2) Good recs, great essays. Solid GPA/taken many rigorous courses throughout HS. Test scores aren’t stellar, unfortunately. It’s a long shot, but I knew that when I applied. I thought I’d take a stab at it.
3) I’m not sure. I’m setting myself up for a rejection, so perhaps the news won’t be so devastating. Like I said, I filled out the app knowing I had a very slim chance of being accepted. I would cry if I -did- get in, though.

No, I’m not too emotionally invested in this whole process, and I’ve already gotten into some other quality choices.
