<p>Welcome to all the USC applicants and parents of applicants for Class of 2016. It’s always hard to predict which candidates will be admitted when schools like USC use holistic methods, which take into account essays, life experiences, ECs, awards, talents, portfolios or auditions in some cases, and much more-- but looking at the cohort of recently selected students may give a few helpful hints as to the ballpark of current admits.</p>

<p>As Georgia Girl mentioned on another thread, the new data has just be published by USC for this year’s incoming freshman class. Take a look!</p>

<p>There were 9,611 applications to transfer. Added to the freshmen applicants there was a total of 46, 821 students who applied to SC either as freshmen or transfers.</p>

<p>USC administers one of the largest financial aid programs in the country. Undergraduates last year were awarded over $414 million in financial aid. Nearly half that amount was in university need-based grants and merit scholarships.</p>
