anyone? bueller?

I say match.

They automaticaly accept top 25% with a 1350 SAT (Math and Reading)in state, and you’re better then that. I think you have a 1350 with math and reading.

DP

^ No they don’t.
UT only has auto-admits for top 10% applicants only.

jeb1291 - It depends on your major.

Yeah that’s A&M, that doesn’t hold true at all for UT.

Wow, I could have sworn. It’s not for A&M either, A&M is top 25% with a 1300. I must have been dreaming.

DP

I’m thinking about going into a political science/economics type major…would this make it easier or harder?

I’m also pretty interested in going premed (i know totally different) so would biology (or undeclared for that matter) up my chances?

I feel like some of my EC’s are pretty unique, but does that even matter for a school as big as UT? (kind of like UC Berkeley I would assume?)

Yes, they will look at your EC’s.

Thank you MidwestMom! I’ve been working on my essays for three days straight…hopefully they will pretty solid I have what I would consider some unique experiences (focusing on international experience), but yet again doesn’t everyone these days? Thanks a ton!

And I don’t have parents that work there, but I do have a cousin that I’m pretty close with that works at UT (research librarian, helps out students etc). Would it help for him to send in a letter or anything?

I do not know if an extra letter would help.

I do not think it is any harder or easier to be accepted as a biology major in the CNS or as an econ major in the CLA, but you might try starting a new thread asking just that question - others might have some insight on this. (I think you “sound” more like a college of liberal arts student.)
