<p>^ don’t listen to the negative people. you’re EC’s are amazing, and you’re grades aren’t exactly subpar. that alone might not be enough, but with your status as a URM, i think you have a damn good shot!</p>

97% of applicants were in the top 10 percent. those other 3% were probably heavily recruited athletes - or had extremely strong ecs. lets not give her false hope.</p>
<p>Out of applicants, 95% were in top 10 percent to begin with. So while harder, there is no automatic throw out for not being in top ten percent…</p>

<p>Don’t listen to beatlesfan, you’re definitely an intriguing applicant and there’s no way Yale will toss you out over one small problem in your application. Your test scores show that you’re smart; hopefully your essays and recommendations do as well. If that’s a case, I think you have a strong chance.</p>
