I think you have a really good chance. Your coursework is excellent, and your stats are good as well. I guess you could have done more in the way of leadership, but other than that your EC’s are also impressive. I would emphasize baseball in your application because it’s not a sport that many high stats people are good at. Maybe write your essay on it. Also what was your AIME score? I’d go ahead and list it if it’s four or higher.

wow youre really smart. are you in state though? that wouldnt help.

Why would being from NJ hurt? NJ is the most represented state at Princeton, so it doesn’t seem as if the admissions office is trying to limit the number of students from NJ.

Being from NJ hurts because although Princeton does accept more applicants from NJ, the number of overall applicants from NJ is higher to a degree that the ratio of accepted/applied from NJ is overall lower than that of other states.

True that. States that are most represented are also the most competitive.

Oh, and by the way, your coursework is incredible. Considering you have incredible test scores, too, if you write a few sweet essays you’re money. =]

Where did you find the statistics on applications and acceptances for NJ students?

I’m from the east coast, but not from NJ however.

I scored 4 on the AIME. Do you think it would be worth listing that score?

I think I want to write my essays about how I’ve grown up my whole life surrounded by baseball. I have a couple humorous anecdotes that would work well for that topic.

Yeah I would report your score since it’s above the mean.

Would being having my name on a published scientific paper significantly increase my chances?

bumpo diezchar

It will help, the extent depending on the quality of the journal in which it was published.
