Chances (2013) for Harvard & others

<p>I know there are literally thousands of threads like this, but I’d appreciate it if you’d chance me. I’m only a junior this year, so in your responses I’d appreciate if you could, along with any criticism, include your opinion on which part of the credentials needs the most work and how to improve.</p>

<p>Schools to Chance: Harvard, Dartmouth, University of Virginia, UNC Chapel Hill
I am a third-generation legacy at UNC, but nowhere else.</p>

<p>White Female
Georgia (US) resident</p>

<p>ACT: 33 (35 E, 31 M, 34 R, 31 S)</p>

<p>PSAT: 222 (80 CR, 65 M, 77 W)</p>

<p>Subject Tests: 720 French w/ Listening
730 Literature
700 Biology M</p>

<p>GPA (after junior year): 4.09 (W), 3.91 (UW)</p>

<p>Class rank: 62/605 as of sophomore year</p>

<p>EC: band - 1st chair horn in wind ensemble, 1st chair district, currently at state level auditions for GHP, marching band section leader, mentor band students at middle schools, Tri-M music honor society, NHS, Beta, will be inducted in French NHS in Spring, Fellowship of Christian Athletes</p>

<p>alright, you are def on the right track to being a competitive applicant for these schools. imo, UNC is pretty much a match school for you, while the others depend on the strength of your essays and intervews. If you could get your SAT II scores above 750, it mght look even better to HYP, etc. good luck from another band person!</p>

<p>Class rank is a killer for Dartmouth and Harvard.</p>

<p>UVA is a slight reach.</p>
