Feedback?

wow

waaaaaay out of reach, not even close…one year with a 3.5 from a tier 4 school with poor hs stats and your applying to yale? you need to get realistic

•Yale - Rejected
•Columbia - Rejected
•Cornell - Rejected
•Northwestern - Rejected
•Georgetown - Rejected

Like dufflebag said. All are way out of reach.

is this a joke

everyone chill, stop sizzling up the poor man like he was a fajita.

well…everything is possible… If you can write a great piece of essay on your struggle against your fate, you might have a chance. Some of the great schools need unique people. However, your academic history is a concern, since they also need to make sure you will be able to do the work there. Good luck!

dude give the kid a break, even though he doesn’t have very good chances, you shouldn’t attack him for it.

Get a new username, perhaps an antonym of some sort.

oh snap Overachiever was getting fried before, but now uze getting refried ya heard, alot like those beans you put in burritos ya dig?

agreed with everyone else this is just unrealistic, this is not just a small reach this is a michael jordan leap through the air from the free throw line dunk type reach

my man mfd is killing it with the mexican food metaphors

this thread is lolerific

wow you guys are really harsh lol

op - it does sound like you’re reaching a little high - if you really want to transfer, maybe you should look for more colleges that would be more of a match for you. I’m sorry, it’s just my advice. I can kind of symphathize, I’m looking to transfer to cornell as well, and to be perfectly blunt, my stats are way higher than yours but it’s still a big reach for me.

no shot for those schools, lol.
be REALISTIC…
btw, ramennoodles08, you are so funny!

Hey man, go for it. You have a slim chance, but the only thing you have to lose is ~$300.

I might not have been explicit enough:

3.69 is my current GPA. I’m applying for Fall 2009 admission.

I currently have 24 credits. After this semester I’ll have 39. After Winterterm (3 classes, 3 credits each) I’ll have 48. After my study abroad in Washington or the UK (12 credits in all) I’ll have 60. By then, I expect my GPA to be higher than it is now.

why thank you gobackto2005 I’m glad someone appreciates my jokes, and Overachiever7…oh my god lol

overachiever my man, you gotta get your GPA to at a 3.9 at the very least. If that isn’t possible getting into those schools will be difficult, but if you work hard you got this son. YOU MY BOY OVERACHIEVER!

overachiever-

you, like everybody else on here, “anticipates” having a higher gpa next year…its obviously possible, but one would think you would have gotten that higher gpa now if it was realistic for you

ok so you have a 3.69 from a tier 4 school with a mess of a high school record…you still have no shot…i have a 3.8 from a top LAC and i would never even think about applying to those schools…this is for your own good, you need to get real with your expectations…if you want to transfer, there are some good state schools (SUNY binghamton) that you might have a reasonable shot at…but yale…columbia…come on…you’re just wasting your time

OP,
You need to use the Search function and read the results from last year, they will give you an idea of the caliber of the students accepted to these schools. A 3.7 from a lower tier college while taking 12 units per semester is an improvement from your HS and first semester in college, but not likely to be up to the level that these schools are looking for.

if we can take a break for a moment in pummeling the sauce out of Overachiever with a very large metaphorical bag of bricks…yo Jesus, where you looking at applying for as a transfer? I’m a 1st year at UVA, and my goal is to get a 3.8. I have no idea what I will actually get, but I mean I’m working hard so I think its definately possible presuming I don’t get addicted to shrooms again (haha…but seriously). If my goal is to transfer to Northwestern, I’m not overreaching am I? I would kill myself if I was viewed the same way everyone views Overachiever.

I value your opinion Jesus, tell me what I want to hear…
