<p>community college student with a 3 gpa hoping to get it better - graduating in April 2011 - this is my 2nd time trying to get in to Univ. of Miami.
I have received 3 different scholarship at the community college - I have very good recommendation from professor/dean of student - not posting SAT/ACT since they are suppose not to be looking at -what are my chances? my major is computer engineering</p>
<p>I have to reply to myself since nobody has up to this time - Today about 2am I opened my myUM website and found out I was accepted - it is a wonderful experience and nobody in my family could sleep after. I asked if you need to have the “3.40” and was told it is only a guideline. For anybody that wants to try Univ. of Miami - try and see it it happens to you. My transfer courses were no easy courses (made of Math, Calculus and Physics). I am having a wonderful weekend. I have to keep pushing myself until I get my degree.</p>
