Chances and questions about NYU BPE

<p>Hi…I’m a junior (rising senior) trying to find colleges to apply to. I came across the BPE program at NYU and was wondering if anyone could tell me about it!</p>

<p>Stats:

  • International
  • Female
  • 2340 SAT
  • 800 (Bio), 790 (Math II), 790 (World History) SAT II
  • 3.8 GPA (with strong upward trend)
  • Typical extracurriculars (orchestra, volunteering, math club) with no leadership experience</p>

<p>I was wondering what kind of careers BPE could set you up for, and if it would be better than just majoring in Finance. </p>

<p>I’m also interested in graduate school opportunities (for economics/finance). Would the BPE degree be enough for grad schools or would double majoring in finance/econ and minoring in math be better?</p>

<p>you have a good chance to get in with your impressive resume. most people dont go to grad school for econ/finance so you probably shouldnt worry about it too much.</p>
